“Don’t don’t bother Luke? Got it.”
PREMIERE WEEK OMG HERE’S WHAT I WATCHED:
- Boardwalk Empire - Fantastic. That’s all there is to say.
- The Event - My expectations may have been too high, and the pilot was a bit scattered at times but the ‘we have no record of you and your girlfriend checking into this hotel’ thing and the moment with the plane (that’s all I’ll say in case you haven’t seen it, and if you have you know exactly what I mean) are enough to make me very curious. Answers are supposedly coming next week, I think that might help people like me decide if they’re in for the season or not.
- Lone Star - Fresh and different. It’s too bad that there’s already talk about it getting yanked. The shows creator wrote a blog post about that. James Folk may be a star soon, even if it isn’t with this show.
- Mike & Molly - My notes for this show say “Oh. Fat jokes. YAWN.” That’s all I wrote.
- Raising Hope - Just didn’t feel it at all.
- Running Wilde - Not bad, not great. Wrote about it.
- Undercovers - I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It’s not appointment television but it has a Bourne feel at times which is a good thing.
- Criminal Minds - Meh. Reviewed it.
- Modern Family - Great. Funniest show on television.
- The Big Bang Theory - Very funny, as always. Sheldon Cooper might be my favorite character on television.
- Shit My Dad Says - Very meh. There were a few funny lines, but that’s just not enough considering how funny the source material is. This just doesn’t belong on a major network.
- 30 Rock - I’ve only seen a handful of episodes but thought this premiere was very funny.
- The Office - It’s been awhile since I’ve watched this show mostly because I got bored with it in season five (and didn’t watch a single episode of season six) but I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.
- It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia - This is another show that I’ve only seen a handful of episodes of (I know, I know) but I enjoyed this episode.
- Outsourced - I wish I could have outsourced someone to watch this for me.
- Dexter - Airs Sunday. Read this to get yourself more excited for it.
- Eastbound & Down - Airs Sunday. I’ve seen it and it’s hilarious. I promise.
- Bored to Death - Airs Sunday. I’m excited.
- LOST - wait a minute. Oh yeah. :(
OTHER THOUGHTS:
- I’ve seen the No Ordinary Family pilot that airs Tuesday night and it wasn’t bad but there was nothing about it that made me want to come back to it for another episode.
- I need to watch SVU to see
DesmondHenry Ian Cusick. - I tried to watch as many new shows as possible, whether or not I thought I’d like them…and in most cases, I didn’t. Other new shows I may or may not check out: Terriers, Hawaii Five-0, Chase, Better With You, The Defenders, The Whole Truth, Blue Bloods.
- Just a little over a month to go until The Walking Dead!
