Dear Fringe,
Sorry about that post the other day. I’d like to partially retract it because you’ve done a much better job of showing Boston shots in episodes 2-5. (Above: Hi Aquarium! Hi penguins!) Also, The Observer. What?! Awesome.
Sincerely,Critter

Fringe is set in Boston, yet there are very few actual shots of Boston. This is basically it for the pilot and it isn’t until halfway through the episode, and it’s likely unrecognizable to anyone who’s never been to Boston and maybe some that have. JJ managed to drop his obligatory “Kelvin” in the episode before an actual shot of the city. Come on! I know it wasn’t shot in Boston, but you’d think they’d have sent someone here to shoot a bunch of footage for the series.
Other thoughts: the shots of Harvard are hilariously not at all Harvard-like; they did get the Boston Police and Mass. State Police cars right; I appreciate Joshua Jackson trying out a decent Boston accent for approximately two lines and then dropping it just as quickly as he picked it up; Lance Reddick rules, as always.

“TIME, don’t get me wrong, I understand you have to do what it takes to sell magazines, and it’s a good cover, but if you wanted a great cover you would have Photoshopped out the chair.”

The first visual proof that new Arrested Development is actually happening.

We obtained a photo, taken at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, above a soundstage on a studio lot in Culver City, of Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz hard at work on the show’s revival. Reached for comment, Hurwitz told us, “I was working in the room with the writing staff. We were discussing the Maeby episode.” You may (finally) commence chicken-dancing.

Sherlock is airing right now on PBS and you should be watching it.
This is a screencap from “The Reichenbach Fall” which will air in a few weeks, which has a great little Easter egg. The newspaper article reads:

In a twist worthy of a Conan Doyle novella, Mr Sherlock Holmes was yesterday revealed to be an expert witness at the trial of ‘Jim’ Moriarty.

Clever.

Two weeks in a row they’ve taken what sounds like an angry Internet comment from someone who hates the show and turned it into dialogue. Perfect. Flawless. Coolcoolcool.
